Cryotherapy is a quick and effective treatment that uses extreme cold to safely remove unwanted skin lesions. At RM Aesthetics, we use the CryoPen device, which delivers a controlled jet of nitrous oxide to freeze lesions with precision, leaving the surrounding healthy skin unaffected. It's a fast, walk-in walk-out treatment that requires no anaesthetic for most lesions, making it a convenient option for those looking to improve the appearance and texture of their skin.

The treatment works by applying an intense, targeted freeze to the lesion for a matter of seconds. This causes the cells within the treated area to crystallise and die off, while leaving the healthy tissue around it untouched. Over the following days and weeks, the treated area will form a scab, which will naturally fall away to reveal smoother, clearer skin underneath.
Most lesions respond well to a single treatment, although some larger or more stubborn areas may benefit from a follow-up session a few weeks later. Results vary depending on the size, depth and type of lesion being treated.
It's important to remember that not all skin lesions are suitable for cryotherapy, and a thorough assessment is essential to rule out anything that requires further investigation.
