At RM Aesthetics, we primarily use Juvederm, this is a high quality and FDA approved filler. Juvederm is a hyaluronic based filler which is a substance naturally available in our bodies, hyaluronic acid is essential for the hydration of the skin. By using a hyaluronic based filler we can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and help restore volume and the natural framework and fullness to your face and lips.
Treatments can take around 45 minutes to an hour. We may use a numbing cream (mainly for lip treatments) to minimise any discomfort or pain you may experience, but as with any injectable treatments, you can still experience a slight discomfort.
The effects of fillers will show immediately however there will be swelling and redness initially, this will go down over a few days and optimum results will be seen around the 2 weeks mark. Filler treatments can last from 4 to 18 months, depending on the product and your body’s response to the treatment. As a natural substance, Juvederm filler can be reversed with a dissolving agent called Hyaluronidase, however this is only usually used in emergencies.

Aftercare

Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area

No makeup or products on treated area for 24 hours

No exercise or excessive sweating for 24 hours

No alcohol intake for 24 hours

Avoid other cosmetic/aesthetic procedures/treatments for 2 weeks post treatment

Stay upright for 4 hours
